Martin S. Kraar

Martin S. Kraar brings more than four decades of outstanding expertise and success in world-wide organizations of the Jewish community.  Most recently, he completed ten years as Executive Vice President of the American Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science.  With his team, he achieved an exceptional record of program expansion and resource development.

Marty served for ten years as Executive Vice President of the Council of Jewish Federations, the umbrella organization for 189 American Jewish federations through North America.  He was the first Director General of the Israel office of the Council of Jewish Federations.  His extensive experience includes such positions as the Executive Vice President of Jewish federations in Detroit, St. Louis, and Nashville.

As President of the Israel Center for Excellence Through Education (formerly Society for Excellence through Education), Marty is using his gift for leadership to help guide an innovative educational organization that provides programs and services for excelling and highly-motivated students in Israel

He is a frequent lecturer and facilitator for organizations both in and outside of the Jewish community, addressing issues such as board/staff relationships, leadership development, and non-profit management.  Additional lecture topics include:
